BOOK: William Goldman - Adventures in the Screen Trade

Fantastic read! An honest look at the workings of the major motion picture business - refreshing and inspiring for anyone interested in film. Goldman manages to talk very open and personal about his career, and yet it all has a certain appealing charm to it. I almost would want to swap hats with the screenwriter after this book.
It is rare that a person with a career like William Goldman (Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, Marathon Man, A Bridge too Far, All the Presidents Men) is able to write in such a down to earth and open way; It shows a genuine passion for his craft.

After finishing this book i find myself having a very different experience in the theater: i subconsciously look for the structure of the story that i am being told. A good skill to develop as a cinematographer.
