I discovered film quite late - after getting a Master in Sinology at KULeuven I realized my hobby - images, and the process of making them - was where my brain and personality really thrived. I got a scholarship at the Beijing Film Academy and started to work as a freelance photographer. Soon after moving images started to intrigue me. A few years into shooting short form pieces a director who’s set I had photographed before asked if I wanted to come shoot his next feature film - King Of Peking. After that experience the idea of telling a feature length story with images felt like my natural creative habitat.
